ISCRR researchers often conduct interviews with people who have lived experience of trauma. It is important to consider their feelings and perspectives during the research process.
In late July 2024, the ISCRR team completed a day of training to become more trauma-informed in our work. The workshop was facilitated by Liz Scarfe and included practical strategies to make our work more empathetic, ethical, and effective. The ISCRR team found the content highly relevant and useful to our work. We are beginning to implement what we’ve learned and continue growing as trauma-informed researchers.
