Welcome to the July edition of ISCRR’s newsletter. The end of the financial year is often preceded by a flurry of activity. We hope you can now take a moment to reflect on your achievements, and look forward to the upcoming year with renewed motivation.

At ISCRR, we celebrated and reflected on our progress, growth and learnings this past financial year. We celebrate the eight research projects delivered by our research team and nine projects from our research partners. We operationalised a number of continuous improvements across the institute, including updating documents and guides. ISCRR led research reports will now have improved readability, with each project accompanied by a single-page summary to aid in knowledge transfer. Five ISCRR Learning Series webinars were delivered, engaging discussions and averaging 170 national and international registrants. ISCRR trialled podcasts with promising success, and we are now continuing production into the financial 2024/25 to help in the dissemination of research findings.

With thought leadership also a focus of ISCRR, it has been exciting being involved in the Connecting for Better Health Project, led by Professor Cathy Mihalopoulos (Monash University). The project brings together a diverse team representing academia, not for profits, peak bodies, industry and government to provide decision-makers with the knowledge and tools to tackle loneliness and social isolation in the context of chronic disease management. Dr Kim Pham, who is an Associate Investigator, noted the fruitful progress of the project since it commenced in August 2023.
