The Injury & Disability Schemes Seminar (formerly Injury Schemes Seminar) will be held at the Sofitel Brisbane Central on 12-14 November 2017.
This important event is a great opportunity for interaction and discussion between actuaries, scheme administrators, regulators, researchers, injury and disability specialists and service providers throughout Australasia.
The level of reform to the industry remains high, and this has been reflected in the theme of the 2017 seminar — Change, Challenge, Opportunity. The transformation underway across many schemes, with an increased focus on the needs of the participant, is building an important foundation for the future. In keeping with this theme, even the name of the seminar has been changed (previously the Injury Schemes Seminar) to more appropriately reflect the breadth and importance of the discussion.
Feedback from the previous seminar was overwhelmingly positive — particularly on the quality and usefulness of the presentations and the wide ranging and professional debate. This year’s seminar is expected to be even better with engaging discussion on topics such as measuring health and social outcomes, the participant experience, and the role of big data. We will also hear from the various schemes on the wide ranging reforms and other significant changes that are happening.
