Occupational Health and Safety

The Occupational Health and Safety research program will provide evidence to support the development and measurement of strategies to prevent and remedy workplace injury and illness.

Return to Work and Recovery

The Return to Work and Recovery research program will provide evidence to support improvements in Return to Work policy and practice and the development of Return To Work interventions.

Health and Disability Services

This research will help develop evidence-based models of efficient and effective health and disability services delivery for the personal injury compensation sector and interventions for the prevention and management of persistent pain and mental health conditions following compensable injury.

Compensation Systems

This program will provide evidence to support the claims management policy and practices of WorkSafe and the TAC. The aim is to ehance client and injured worker experience, facilitate return to work and assist the financial viability of the compensation schemes.

Research Translation

The Research Translation program contains both research and practice components. It includes a baseline assessment of existing practices regarding the use of evidence by policy makers and the translation of research by academics at Monash University. It will also develop a best practice model of knowledge translation.

Neurotrauma Research

Arrangements for ISCRR's new neurotrauma program are currently being finalised.

Compensation Research Database

This comprehensive research database includes essential demographic, injury, occupational, industrial, health and compensation data about injured workers and transport accident incidents in Victoria.

ACHR Forum Research Posters

Helen Dougherty, Research Advisor, Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC), NZ, and Dr Janneke Berecki-Gisolf, Senior Research Fellow, Monash Injury Institute (MIRI) were declared joint winners of the Early Career Investigator Poster Award at the Australasian Compensation Health Research Forum.
